IBS is recruiting an Automation Engineer (M/F)
Responsibilities:
- Develop and enhance automated systems (hardware and software) in collaboration with technical teams
- Design technical solutions and set up test benches and simulations
- Programme automated systems and their monitoring interfaces
- Ensure the proper functioning of equipment by installing, testing and rectifying faults
- Collaborate with international teams as well as contractors, suppliers and customers
- Train and support internal teams
- Draft technical documentation for internal teams and clients
- Provide technical support and after-sales service for troubleshooting, diagnostics and maintenance of automation systems, drives and HMIs
- Actively participate in technology watch activities regarding tools and standards related to automation to contribute to continuous improvement
Profile :
Education and Training :
- Degree in Automation Engineering with a foundation in electrical engineering
- 3 years’ experience is desirable
The skills needed for success :
- Analysing and developing complex systems
- Conducting testing phases in a systematic manner
- Fluency in spoken and written English
- Proficiency in Schneider PLCs (M580, M262, M251)
- Knowledge of electrical engineering and pneumatics
- Team spirit
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of Modbus TCP, CANopen, PROFIBUS and TcpOpen protocols, as well as serial communication, is a real plus
